Pashtuns have mixed with many invaders for years and they have migrated to a lot of place. Lot of changes both in the language and in the self has occurred. They started resembling Mediterranean people with so light hair and pale colors. This is not the case with the original pashtun tribes who were dark skinned and with dark hair. This is mainly due to the interchange of countries and people.

Today the Pashto people of Afghanistan are trying to shed its past history of violence and move towards to becoming an independent nation. The new government of Afghanistan is working with NATO and the other world powers to withdraw troops and take the reigns of power to lead their prosperity.
