Is Caring for a Dog a Difficult Task? Not Necessarily.

Have you been wondering if caring for a dog is too hard? Don’t worry; it isn’t hard if you remember four things:

You are the top dog, You are in charge, You are the alpha dog, You are the top dog.

I think you get it by now. If you are not the one calling the shots, then Fido will do it for you. You must maintain control.

Dogs need to know their specific place in your relationship, but you don’t have to be a cruel leader in order to get this accomplished. By leading with a kind, but firm hand you will see to this end.

Does that sound like a tough task? Not really.

Well, there are many areas in which you will need to remain vigilant. A few of these include feeding patterns, toilet habits, and socialization.

Briefly, let’s look at these areas.

In order to see that Fido is at optimal health and fitness, you must control his eating patterns. Feeding him at the same time everyday is a must for him to learn proper habits and limit begging between meals.

He will learn that she must eat at the designated time or He will have to wait and go hungry.

However, an important thing to remember is to read the labels and insure you’re giving her the best food possible.

Concerning toilet habits, it is a good idea to take him for a walk or let him outside at the same time everyday. By doing so, your favorite furry friend will learn that out of doors is the only way to ‘go’.

One important aspect to you happiness as a dog owner is successful socialization. Teaching Fido to get along with others, people AND pets, will bring joy to all that come into contact with him.

Ultimately, you must be consistent in all areas of caring for a dog. He will thrive on your loving guidance and you both will be much happier.
