Hip hop artist Kid Cudi has bad the transition from hip hop artist to acting. The up coming rap artist has landed a leading role in a new series on HBO.

Although I have received numerous press releases regarding Kid Cudi I have never wrote about him because frankly I have never heard of him until recently.

To most this guy has come out of no wear and is taking over the hip hop game. I decided to do a little research on this Kid Cudi and boy was I blown away. I immediatly loaded up my iphone with every mix tape track that I could find of Kid Cudi’s. This guy is pure fire, and is bringing back what I like to call real hip hop.

Alright… Maybe I have gotten off track just a little! Back to the facts… The series that Kid Cudi will be featured in on HBO is entitled, “How To Make It In America.” What makes me believe that this series is going to be a hit is because HBO has obviously stacked the deck. The show is going to be produced by the same guy who produced Entourage. Mark Wahlberg is the executive producer, and Julian Farino will be directing.

Kid Cudi’s character in the series goes by the name of Domingo Dean. Despite the rappers other successes his character has nothing to do with the music business. This was a point that Cudi felt strongly about.

Securing a lead role in the new HBO series is pretty demanding. However Kid Cudi has still found the time to work on his up coming album, “Man on the Moon: The End of Days.” According to his label the street date for the album is September 15th. So do your ears a favor and add it to your collection. The album will feature The Clipse, Common, Kanye West, and the legendary hip hop super star Snoop Dogg. The production for the album was supported by none other than Kanye West, Just Blaze and Will.i.am.
